Customer Service Administrator / Sales Order Processor

Are you looking for full time work and would like to work in a unique industry?

An exciting opportunity to join our small, friendly team based in Bletchley, Milton Keynes. A Japanese owned Company operating in the UK since 1998, we import thermal interface materials in sheet or roll form and export throughout Europe. We also have a Production area where the sheets and rolls can be cut to Customer requirements.

The ideal candidate will be experienced in Customer Service and Sales Order Processing and have a good knowledge of import and export, particularly exporting into Europe.

Reporting to the Managing Director the role includes:

  • Processing Sales Orders and related Purchase Orders
  • Acknowledging Customer Orders
  • Responding to Customer enquiries
  • Generating invoices
  • Ordering & receiving stock
  • Monitoring and maintaining stock levels through Customer Portals
  • Generating Production worksheets and supporting documents
  • Updating Production Schedule to ensure Customer requirements are met
  • Preparing orders for despatch – involves some heavy lifting
  • Liaising with 4PL facility in Netherlands to arrange shipments
  • Booking courier services
  • Filing and general office duties

Key Skills, experience, and personal characteristics:

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbally
  • Confident in mathematics
  • Experienced in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Good knowledge of Sage 50 Accounts desirable
  • Attention to details is paramount
  • Import and Export experience beneficial
  • Ability to work independently or in a team
  • Good timekeeping and organisational skills
  • “Can do” attitude

The Important Bits

  • Salary : £ 25,000 - £ 28,000 pa depending on experience
  • Company Pension Scheme after completion of 3 month probation
  • 20 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays
  • Christmas Shutdown (not contractual)
  • Working hours :- Monday to Thursday 8.30am to 4.45pm with 45 minute (unpaid) break and Friday 8.30am to 1.00pm with no break
