Activities Co-Ordinator - Full time 37.5 hrs per week - £11.05 per hour
Please note this post involves provision of activities out of hours – The successful candidate will work flexible shifts during the day, evening and weekends. The post also involves driving the Centre Minibus and Car.
We have a wonderful opportunity for an enthusiastic and dynamic Activities Co-ordinator to join our friendly and supportive team at our Frenchay Brain Injury Rehabilitation Centre, a modern independent hospital providing an inpatient Level 1 intensive brain injury rehabilitation service (29 NHS England funded beds) for the South West of England and a further 23 slower-stream neuro-rehabilitation beds (Level 2). Both services are managed in partnership with North Bristol NHS Trust.

As an Activities Coordinator with us you will jointly develop and run a programme of social and recreational activities to meet the needs of brain injured patients in the acute rehabilitation setting. You will ideally have an interest and experience in running groups and will understand the value of activity and structure in an acute rehabilitation setting and demonstrate excellent communication and organisational skills.
We are looking for an Activities Coordinator who is able to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and under their own initiative. You will be responsible for planning, organising and implementing a social, recreational and leisure activity programme in partnership with our existing Activities Co-ordinators. This will involve individual and group activities within the unit and the wider community while also working closely with the multi-disciplinary therapy team. You will personally run and deliver some of the activities and also support staff to be involved in the activity programme.
